The Child Care and Development Laboratory School is located on the Rhinelander campus of Nicolet College. Its dual purpose is to provide a learning laboratory setting for students in theHappy child at daycare Early Childhood Education associate degree program and to provide child care for the Nicolet campus community.

The center provides a developmentally appropriate program of child care and early education 7:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. during the Fall and Spring Semesters, the Summer Session, and semester breaks. Enrollments are accepted on a first come, first served basis with priority given to children continuing from a previous semester and children with special needs. A waiting list is maintained each semester, and those wishing to use the day care center must re-apply for enrollment each semester. Drop-in use of the center is encouraged on a space available basis with prior approval of day care staff.

Discrimination Policy

The day care center does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, gender, creed, handicap, political persuasion, national origin, or ancestry against any enrolled child or family or applicant for enrollment. As an institution that promotes diversity, Nicolet also gives special consideration to minority children and children with a limited degree of disability.
