Aquatic invasive species such as Eurasian water milfoil, zebra mussels and rusty crayfish have major negative impacts on the waters of Wisconsin. Invasive species can be exotic (from distant geographic areas/ecosystems) or native. Whether you now have them in your lake, or wonder if you do, this session will help you learn more. Learning more about the aquatic plants in your lake is not only fun, it’s beneficial!

While some may think of Costa Rica as a tropical paradise, that is not always an appropriate description of the health care available to its citizens. Dr. Gilbertson will describe how her mission to serve those in need took her to a mobile healthcare clinic in Costa Rica and many challenges as well as rewards. Affiliated with the Roth Family Chiropractic of Rhinelander, she volunteers in Costa Rica three times a year. Her mission is to aid people to achieve their full health potential through chiropractic care and healthy lifestyle choices.

To reach the lake, take Highway 51 north from Woodruff to Highway M. Go north on M past the South Trout Lake Campground and look for Allequash Road on the right and follow it to the landing. Initially participants will be engaged in the exploration of activities that offer the retention of information. The effectiveness of humor in life situations will be integrated throughout the presentation.The class leaders are Nicolet College staff and have served at the national level as facilitators in leadership training through the Chair Academy in Mesa, AZ.

Discover "The Gift of Giving" as he takes you on service trips to South Africa, El Salvador, Guatemala and Biloxi, Mississippi, where cultural understanding and friendships, as well as homes, are built.

Lottie will share the story of her life as a child in Poland brutally interrupted when she and her family were forced from their home and sent to a concentration camp in Siberia. Eventually freed, but orphaned, she traveled the world before finally settling in Milwaukee where she married and raised a family, retiring to Harshaw 17 years ago. This is a repeat of a program offered last year, but to an audience limited by an untimely snowstorm.

Professional organist Marilyn Norden presents a special program of seasonal music, an introduction to the organ and its history and, perhaps, an opportunity for some to try this exceptional instrument. Marilyn has a BA with emphasis on organ and piano study from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, and has continued to study throughout her adult life. Currently, she is studying at the Wausau Conservatory of Music with someone she calls "a superbly trained organist and a demanding teacher." Minimum 10, No maximum
