Nicolet College invites you to leave the Wisconsin winter behind and experience the extraordinary variety of landscapes of southern California, from ocean shorelines and tidal marshes to inland mountains, deserts, and lakes. San Diego County supports the highest number of recorded bird species anywhere in the United States. On this same trip last year, Nicolet participants viewed 153 species of birds, and had an exceptional time doing it! Jodi Fox will be your contact for this trip; she can be reached at 1-800-585-9304 or jfox@nicoletcollege.edu for a complete list of birds that we saw last year, as well as additional information of the many areas we will explore.
This trip is limited to 15 people to maintain quality over quantity and will leave you gasping over the beauty of the birds, not for breath. Our guide will be Bob Miller, one of the area's best-known birders and a gifted leader of birding trips in the San Diego area. John Bates and Mary Burns, naturalists in Wisconsin's Northwoods, will be your chaperones. Registration closes January 20, 2009; trip fees below include hotel accommodations, most meals, and comfortable van transportation while on the birding trip (trip fees do not include all meals or your transportation costs to reach San Diego). 60-806-61100
