Welcome to Nicolet College Student Counseling Services. I am one of three counselors in the counseling department.

I earned my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from UW-Stout, and my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from UW-Stevens Point. I am also a Clinically Certified Domestic Violence Counselor, and currently a member of the Critical Incident Stress Services Team for Central WI as well as a current member of the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists.

While attending UW-Stout, I was employed at Tri-County Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault as the Sexual Assault Program Director and completed my internship at Marshfield Clinic Counseling Center. Prior to returning to school for my Master's degree I was employed in the field of Emergency Medical Services.

I truly enjoy working with college students to assist them in achieving their educational, career and personal goals. As program coordinator for the Displaced Homemaker program, I especially enjoy working with single parents, and older returning students.

In my experience as a college counselor, I have found that the barriers that keep students from reaching their goals most commonly occur outside the classroom. So if you are experiencing any distress in your life that may be interfering with your ability to succeed in school or in life, please come and see me or any of the other counselors.
