More About That 1 Guy

That One GuyMike Silverman of Berkeley, Calif., delivers a hip, dazzling performance with his huge, geeky-beautiful, handmade electronically-enhanced instrument that combines bass, drum and a mini-orchestra. A classically-trained bassist, Silverman played with the best during the progressive jazz scene of the ‘90s, but longed to get more "sound" out of his instrument—so he built his own.

Described by the New York Times as "channeling Frank Zappa’s avant-garde spirit," That 1 Guy rolls lightshow, video and smoke into a high-energy repertoire of blues, funk, trance and dance that is guaranteed to pump you up.
