Students are not charged tuition for most basic education courses, although certain courses require material and textbook fees.

SkillsTutor is an instructional software program designed to improve student achievement. More than 1000 activities and lessons help students focus on the core skills commonly found on standardized tests. Topics include reading, writing, language, mathematics, information skills, algebra, and science. Pre-tests quickly identify your weak skill areas and prescribe appropriate lessons to strengthen those skill areas. After completing lessons, post-tests reinforce learning, track your progress, and help you feel comfortable taking standardized tests in a similar format. (A good tool for Accuplacer preparation.)
