What
is arguably the quintessential American drama will come to the Nicolet College
Theatre when the Nicolet Players present the play Our Town May 2 to 4 and again
May 8 to 11.
The
play, written by Wisconsin native Thornton Wilder, views the world through the fictional
New Hampshire village of Grover’s
Corner. Wilder designed the hamlet to be virtually any small town in America and the
characters to depict the typical residents living in these towns. The drama
follows the lives of two families, focusing on the strength and spirit family
members exhibit as they deal with life’s pivotal moments.
Performances
at Nicolet are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 2 and 3, and
again then Thursday through Saturday, May 8 to 10. Matinee performances will be
held on two Sundays, May 3 and 10, with these performances starting at 2 p.m.
in the Nicolet College Theatre.
